Eddingtons acquires selected assets of Gilberts Food Service
Eddingtons Ltd has announced it has acquired selected assets including stock and IP from Gilberts Food Equipment Ltd with effect from March 13th 2017. Additionally Richard Gilbert, the Managing Director of Gilberts, will join Eddingtons with immediate effect to head up it’s expanded Foodservice Division.
Gilberts was founded in the 1950s when the company began to import high quality catering equipment and cookware from across the globe to meet the needs of both food service customers and consumers throughout the UK. In the following six decades Gilberts has built an enviable reputation based on industry experience and knowledge, strong customer relationships and above all quality products from long standing suppliers. Commenting on this exciting new chapter Richard Gilbert said. “In challenging economic times there is real merit in pooling resources and I’m delighted to be joining the Eddingtons team who I’ve known personally for a number of years. I’m excited at the opportunity to head up an expanded Foodservice business and look forward to continuing to work with our Customers and Suppliers. “
