The name, Milton Brook, part of Wade, has been synonymous with pestle and mortars since the 19th century. With their characteristic unglazed finish and beech handle pestles they are excellent for the crushing and grinding of herbs and spices in the traditional manner. Used by professional and amateur chefs alike the pestle and mortar helps enhance the taste and aroma of food by releasing essential oils from the herbs and spices. Available in a range of sizes, each holding different capacities. The pestle and mortars are made from vitrified electrical porcelain, giving them a very dense and strong structure that is dishwasher, freezer and oven safe.
